AlaneMarie

Alanemarie’s Creations began more as a tiny thread of an idea.

As a teenager, Alane had been taught to crochet by Grandma Gussie. She began making afghans and pillows and giving them to family as a way to show them the love she had for them and for crochet.

But in the years to come, Alane started her family and her love of crochet was put on the shelf while she busied herself raising her four children. There was little time for sewing and crafting along the way but no real time to focus on her new found passion for creating things with hook and yarn.

In 2006, Alane and her husband Brad got word that their first granddaughter would be born in January 2007. With almost all of the kids raised, Alane decided to head to the craft store, get some yarn and hooks and a crochet pattern book and make a special blanket for that sweet first grandbaby. This opened the door to renew her passion for the craft of crochet. These blankets gave her a special warm feeling thinking of the babies and how they would grow up and could give the blankets to their own children someday. To date she has made 16 blankets – one for each of her grandchildren – with more to come.

It wasn’t long before she started making hats and cute outfits to dress the babies in for their newborn pictures and AlaneMarie’s Creations was born.

“My customers are like my family. I want them to feel like they are using something made especially for them… something you just can’t buy off the counter. Its unique, indulgent and comes straight from my heart. My favorite thing is seeing the happy pictures of children in the things I have made. There’s nothing better than knowing the things I create are being enjoyed by so many families.” That tiny thread of an idea is the Love that is woven into every item.

Every ball of yarn is a dream waiting to come true.
